Miami, 1991. In episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her friend are seen wearing a dark blue short-sleeved shirt as part of their uniform. In 1991, employees wore light blue shirts with long sleeves. Short sleeves were not worn for 4-5 years. . Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). I went into this with very low expectations and was mostly excited for the resurrection. The beginning of the first episode was jarring with the editing and the CGI cop car, and I thought "Oh boy, this is going to flop." By the end of the first episode, I was eating crow because the actors had embodied their characters perfectly and the story showed immense promise. While we already knew most of the backstory, there were a few surprises in the first episode that added depth. Some of the characters we grew to know and love, and it added some background to the decisions those characters made. Just one episode in and I was already hooked!
